Many people, with many varied conditions, suffer with pain and sleep problems that are either not helped by standard prescription medicines or those prescription medicines have further side effects requiring even further medication.

ALS, Bipolar Disorder, Cancer, Glaucoma, HIV/Aids, Huntingdons disease, IBS, Crohns, MS, Parkinsons, PTSD, Arthritis, Tourettes, Phantom limb pain. These are just some of the conditions whose symptoms/side effects can be reduced by the use of Marijuana. Add to this, all the various medications that are taken for other ailments who, in themselves produce adverse side effects, which can be eased with Marijuana.
