In 2010 The UK courts dealt with over 80 serious offenders that utilised the ECHR to avoid deporation back to their country of origin. All too often they use the 'right to a family life' to secure leave to remain in the UK. Little consideration is given to the rights of the victims of these criminals. The victims should gain a little 'closure' if they knew these miscreants were no longer living in the same country.
