The people of Great Britain are sick of working hard to buy vehicles, only to have them stolen by criminals who do not care. The impact of their crimes affect thousands of people, who suffer untold hardship, financial loss & emotional distress due to crime. The law needs to be a major deterrent.

Currently the penalty for stealing a vehicle does not fit the crime, many criminals walk free from court with punitive punishments, despite causing huge problems for the victims of their crime.

The law needs to ensure that theft of a vehicle is so harshly punished it will make it unappealing.
