At present EU citizens resident in the UK are allowed to vote in elections and referendums The law should be changed that only British citizens are allowed to determine the future of Scotland In any future independence referendums

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

In any case, EU citizens resident in the UK can not vote in UK General Elections. You can find out more information on the Electoral Commission website: http://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/faq/voting-and-registration/who-is-eligible-to-vote-at-a-uk-general-election

You could start a new petition asking for EU citizens to not be allowed to vote in any Scottish independence referendum.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
