Rejected petition Referendum on EU

I believe the UK government should able to choose weather we would like to be in the EU. If have no choice in this matter at all and a lot of the tax payers money goes to the EU. We've been promised a Referendum multiple times but have never been given to chance to vote which is frankly disgraceful. The government is meant to be for the people.

Also not to sure I've selected the correct department in the above field.
