Rejected petition Make all bullying (both in person and online) a convictable criminal offence.

Rejected on

Currently in UK there is no legal definition of Cyber bullying. Offline, bullying is dealt with in accordance with the policies of work places, schools, etc. People commit suicide over Cyber bullying.

Cyber bullying is on the rise due to the expansion of users on a daily basis. Cyber bullying is the act of harming or harassing via Internet sites, social media, discussion groups, instant messaging, mobile apps etc in a repeated or deliberate manner.

Bullying in person and bullying online is on the rise, and there's currently no laws protecting users.
Children as young as 12 have committed suicide due to cyber bullying and nothing is being done about it. This needs to change, now.
