Petition Make child benefit rules fairer

Currently couples with one partner earning over 60 thousand pounds annually are not entitled to any child benefit. If however both parents are working and they earn over 60 thousand pounds combined but with both individully earning less than that amount, they are entitled to this benefit.

A couple may earn 55 thousand pounds each and get child benefit however if one person earns 60 thousand they do not.
