Closed petition Tax on Premier League transfers to install and maintain free to use 4G pitches.
Closed on
Introduce a tax on all Premier league transfers to raise funds to install and maintain 4G pitches in as many towns in England/Wales as possible that are free for kids/sports clubs/schools etc to use. Many children throughout England and Wales have to play football on inadequate pitches.
Many football pitches are (water logged/on a hill/dangerous/ridden with dog muck) despite there being record breaking amounts of money in the English Premier league. £1.165bn spent to date this season already. Health of kids would increase from these pitches as would anti-social behaviour in communities. National football team would benefit as more children given opportunity to play on 'fit for purpose' pitches and fulfill their potential.
