Petition End disability discrimination through Essential Criteria for Driving Licences.
At present, there is no law preventing a role where the primary function is as a driver, or in the Emergency and Armed Services, to be distinct from a role requiring travel, both having an "Essential Criteria" for a "Full UK Driving licence", thus allowing for selective discrimination of disability.
More details
Roles that require travel such as the following:
https://roles.mariecurie.org.uk/VacancyInformation.aspx?VId=58439
are discriminating against disabilities whose condition affect their eligibility to drive.
While there are professions, that should be exempt, such as roles where the primary function is driving, or in Emergency and Armed Services roles, we ask parliament for roles outside these selected professions to apply to be able to list a "UK Driving Licence" as an "essential job criteria".
