Rejected petition The prospective terms of Brexit must be subject to a Parliamentary vote
The EU Referendum result of June 2016 mandated that Britain leave the European Union.
However, there exists no mandate whatsoever for any particular terms of Brexit. Quite the contrary; it is now generally recognised that the Leave campaign omitted all detail of what Brexit should look like.
More details
The Government seems to be pursuing a Brexit agenda behind closed doors which has neither public nor Parliamentary support.
We ask simply for an open, democratic process of negotiations. Specifically that our elected representatives be allowed to represent us in Parliament via a vote on any prospective terms of Brexit as and when they are proposed.
