Rejected petition Convicted MPs, Piers & Councillors to be stripped of seats & titles automatically

We propose that all MPs, Piers & Councillors should automatically lose their seats and any titles if they are convicted of a crime.

In the case of of MPs & Councillors, conviction would automatically trigger a bi-election.

In the case of Piers, ie those sitting in the House of Lords, the person should be stripped of their title and expelled from the house. No unelected pier may be appointed if they have a criminal record.

This change to the current system of government is vital in light of the corruption and expenses scandals.
