Rejected petition Review selection of Bernard Hogan-Howe for Met Commissioner
More details
The home secretary has selected a political ally for the most senior police position in the country when she was advised to do otherwise by two panels of experts, senior civil servants and members of the MPA.
At a time when our police forces are being tested to the limit for the government to select someone to do their bidding in front of the best candidate is a shameless abuse of power that puts the governments self interest in front of the safety of the public.
This decision should be independantly reviewed and reversed if proven to be not in the best interests of the public.
