Rejected petition Ban printers that force you to install that brand's ink and won't even scan to your computer without it being installed

I would like printer companies that sell printers to consumer to have to allow any ink to be used, and not be allowed to install software that detects the ink brand and lock the printer. This is even more disgusting when trying to use the printer to scan, which doesn't even require ink, and yet the printer will not proceed unless the branded ink is installed. Such products are not fit for purpose and thus illegal.
