The Evening Standard reports (http://bit.ly/r8AYns) that Tube drivers are to paid up to £1200 extra for doing their normal job during the Olympics and Paralymics.

This is not a good use of public money, the more so given the current economic situation, and the Evening Standard asserts that this payment could be considered a bribe.

Many people across the public, private and government sectors will be working hard during this exciting event and yet would never consider holding the country to ransom.

We demand a government review of the Olympic "bribe" to be paid to Tube drivers.
