Rejected petition Change the law, so the Local Authority have a duty of care to the parents.

In 2012 I was suffering with post natal depression. I rang my local Social Services department asking for help. I told two social workers that I felt I didnt want to live anymore. They walked out and left my baby and i without any help or support. This has led to ongoing catastrophic events.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly how you would like Parliament to change the law.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
