Rejected petition Save Salford's Representation in Parliament
More details
The government should prevent the Boundary Commission for England from dismembering the City of Salford by failing to include the name of Salford in any of the proposed constituencies that cover the City of Salford. If Salford cannot be left broadly intact as a constituency, this may still be achieved by the simple expedient of inserting the name of Salford into at least one of the proposed constituencies of Manchester Central, Swinton, Leigh, or Blackley & Broughton.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
This is a matter for the Boundary Commission for England which is independant of central Government. The Commission have launched a consultation into its recent boundary review and is seeking comments from members of the public.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
