Petition Review how families are means tested for benefits.
Why is it only those who do not work or those on low income that get support from the government?
What about those hard working families with a household salary that looks great on paper, who pay thousands in taxes a year, that struggle to afford everyday living costs?
More details
I personally think there needs to be a complete over-hall in how people are means tested in order to receive benefits and what financial help is made available to all families that struggle regardless of their household income.
My self and my partner on paper have a pretty good household income. Just over £50k a year. However, when you take away costs such as rent/mortgage, utility bills, childcare, travel, food, and everyday living we are left with not much to spare.
