In light of the recent exposure of sexual abuse of children in football there needs to be a way. Child protection appears as a haphazard control with many organisations failing to offer the most basic protection

There needs to be enforceable rules
All adults must have a DBS
All companies and organisations should be registered with an official body, e.g. Ofsted. All credentials must nbe verified especially when used in advertising and websites. Child referees must be registered with the local authority ( the FA refuse to accept responsibility for children who work as referees) The current position of stating if the parents allow it must be revoked as parents expect official bodies to make competent decisions on their behalf.
