Why was this petition rejected?
There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
On 22 October 2015, the House of Commons approved changes to the standing Orders (the rules of House of Commons procedure) that gave effect to the Government’s plans to introduce 'English votes for English laws' (EVEL). We're therefore not sure what you would like to change.
