Rejected petition Only Scots can vote in any future Scottish referendum on independence
In the first referendum for Scottish independence EU citizens could vote while Scots outside Scotland couldn't. If there is another one I want it to be for Scots only no EU citizens should be allowed a vote.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
The franchise (the rules about who is allowed to vote) for the 2014 independence referendum was decided by the Scottish Parliament, not the UK Government or Parliament.
The Scottish Parliament has its own Public Petitions Committee. If you'd like to send your petition to the Scottish Parliament, you can find out more here:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
