Petition Allow railway season ticket holders to vote on operator's franchise renewal.

Commuters usually have no choice about using the train. They cannot strike or otherwise inconvenience the operator in order to force improvements. They have no influence and are therefore totally ignored by the operators. Only if we can directly affect the operators will they take any notice of us.

If enough season ticket holders vote against renewal then the existing franchise holder is banned from being considered at any price.
The vote would be open only to those holding monthly or longer season tickets for at least 3 months of the year.
A majority of at least 60% (to be agreed) would be needed to remove the existing operator from consideration.
