Rejected petition Social Care in UK should be provided by Foreign aid cash. Elderly are neglected

My Mum worked all her life and paid her taxes. Now she pays £500 a week nursing home costs and will have her property reviewed so that can be taken too to pay her costs! Many elderly people are in this terrible position. How can this be fair when taxpayers' money is being wasted abroad.

£12.2 billion a year goes on overseas projects which is totally wrong when people are suffering on a grand scale here in Britain. The government has no conscience if it can ignore our elderly population and worry more about spending mine and many other people's tax on such projects as helping the Ethiopian 'Spice Girls' get set up and funded until 2018! They have now received in the region of £9 million and that is only one example of money wasted on an overseas project. An utter waste of money!
