Petition When referring to our Debt state what we owe not what % it is of something else.
Since 1947 our Debt increased from £25 bn to £1,547 bn but when compared to GDP it allows Gov to conceal from us their out of control spending and borrowing of more than £2 bn every week for 10 years. For more alarming facts about the way Gov run our Country see www.mrms.uk
More details
A debt is “a sum of money owed” and should be referred to as such. There is no logical reason why Government should compare our National Debt to GDP (or anything else) other than to keep the truth from us of their out of control spending and borrowing.
