Rejected petition I would like to see the government improve traffic flow in and around Clapham

I would like to see the government improve traffic flow in and around Clapham, Mitcham, Streatham and Brixton by widening the high street; removing 20 MPH speed limits and removing no entries/ one way systems. This will give motorists and road users more room and make it safer for road users.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

Roads in London are the responsibility of local councils and Transport for London (TfL).

TfL is accountable to the London Assembly. The London Assembly has its own petitions process. You can find out more about how to petition the London Assembly here:

https://www.london.gov.uk/about-us/london-assembly/petitions

You could also raise this issue with a local councillor. You can use this page to find out who the local councillors are, and how to contact them:

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
