Petition Make tips tax free for waiters and waitresses.

Currently waiters and waitresses have to declare their tips to HMRC. These tips do not form part of the bill and are a thank you gift to the waiter or waitress for providing a great service and working unsociable hours. HMRC will still generate tax revenues from the bill.

By allowing the waiter or waitress to take the money home that night will avoid unscrupulous employers charging them admin fees on tips or taking a share for breakages and spillages.
