Petition MP's Found Guilty of Criminal Offences Should Lose Their Pensions

MP's are in a position of trust and elected to represent their constituents with this in mind.
When an MP is found guilty of a criminal offence or serves a jail term, amazingly they are allowed to keep their pension.
Police officers, prison officers and other crown employees lose their pensions if they are found guilty of committing the same offences or serve jail terms.
Given the recent outrages regarding expenses fraud, isn't it only fair that the MP's who are in a similar position of trust lose their pensions too?
