Rejected petition Allow British citizens to keep their European citizenship after Brexit

The U.K. is starting the process to leave the European Union.
I as well as many others have been a European Citizen since birth.
On the 23rd of June 2016, 48% of the voters wanted to remain part of the E.U.
We should be allowed to keep our European citizenship after the U.K. leaves
