Petition Payment terms exceeding 30 days from when an invoice is issued should be illegal

I am the director of a small electrical contracting company. It is about time something was done about the big company's who think it is acceptable to make smaller companies, especially in construction, wait ridiculous amounts of time for payment. Small businesses regularly go bust due to this.

All company's from bottom of the pile to the top should be legally required to pay no later than 30 days from invoice
