Rejected petition Give free prescriptions to people with unasked for illnesses such as asthma

As an asthmatic myself working minimum wage, I know how hard it is to pay £8.40 for a prescription for something I never asked to have, often me and so many others have been unable to afford to pay for our prescription and ended up being hospitalised sometimes for weeks on end.

If you look at the death rate for asthmatics, you will notice it has gone up and up as the price for prescriptions have increased because people simply can't afford them and the ambulance service can't reach them on time, I would like to be part of a generation where I can pick up a newspaper and not see another asthmatic or some other form of genetic flaw illness person dead
