Petition Abolish the 5% VAT on children's car seats

Currently, the VAT on children’s car seats is at the reduced rate of 5%. However, by law children must use a car seat until they’re 12 years old or 135 centimetres tall (whichever comes first).

It seems ridiculous to apply VAT to something when doing so could potentially result in parents compromising on their child's safety. If children's clothing is zero-rated then car seats for children and babies should be too.
