President Trump signed an executive order banning the citizens of seven countries from entering the US on any visa category and suspending the US refugee resettlement programme.

We believe that the government should provide those whose lives are at risk with permanent residency in the UK.

For 120 days, the order bars the entry of any refugee who is awaiting resettlement in the US It also stops all Syrian refugees from entering the US until further notice.

It bans the citizens of seven countries—Iraq, Iran, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, and Yemen—from entering the US on any visa category. This appears to include those individuals who are permanent residents of the US who may have been traveling overseas to visit family or for work.

The UK government should help these people.
