It is important that an alternative voice to those calling for the state visit to be cancelled is heard. In addition, even if you disagree with some policies being introduced by the new administration it is a product of a democratic process.

It is always better to try to influence those we might not agree with by dialogue not bans. Those calling for a ban are simply guilty of hypocrisy.
