Rejected petition Allow The gay community the right to help other by allowing us to give blood

On a personal note I wanted to give blood, my inspiration for this was my grandfather who passed only last year who gave blood for many many years. I made an appointment and was refused due to being a gay man. This law needs to be changed. We can donate our organs but not our blood?
