Donald Trump had a majority in the recent United States election for President and travellers were well aware of his intentions.

The past administration had put forward security limitations on certain countries but never carried them out. We have welcomed visits to the UK from China and Saudi Arabia with appalling human rights records offering nothing like the close history of co-operation than that of the United States.
