Rejected petition Bring back the 3 in 1 card or a new system with the same benefits to WestSussex
The 3 in 1 card system which had been in place since 2007 had been a success for the council and meant that students at college, school or sixth form got a discounted bus fare, but then also this acted as a form of ID so that students could prove their age without needing to carry a passport.

More than 2,500 responses were received with 96 per cent choosing ‘keep the scheme as it is’ as their preferred first option. The county council then went against this and decided to scrap the scheme starting 01/01/2017. This shows that although lots of people wanted to keep the scheme the same the council disregarded the majority of people’s opinion.
