The Royal Bromptom's child heart surgery is at risk of being closed down by the government's joint committee of the primary care trusts of England as part of a national review aimed at streamlining paediatric congenital cardiac surgery services (PCCS) around the country. The centre is used by hundreds of children every day and is the largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK. The government must this halt this senseless action and save the centre that so many London based children rely on every day.
