Rejected petition Make it a legal requirement to stop and report after a road collision with a cat

after a recent event where a motorist had hit my family cat which was only 9months old. I learned that if some had been in a collision with a dog this becomes reportable but a cat it doesn't.

having to explain to your children there family pet has died at the result of a careless motorist is heartbreaking and feel the same treatment for dogs should be adopted for dogs.
