Rejected petition Suggest to the BBC that Brian Cox, OBE, FRS , be offered the role of Dr Who.

I think a genuine scientist taking this position would greatly encourage children into further education on this field.

I refer to:- Brian Edward Cox, OBE, FRS, English physicist, and Advanced Fellow of particle physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester.

The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
