Rail Operators need to face stricter penalties for providing substandard services to commuters.

Commuters across the land are grossly inconvenienced on a daily basis by the late running and cancellation of crucial services connecting people to their jobs and livelihoods. Furthermore, the impact of reconnecting people to their families and loved ones is far more serious and distressing.

It is right that commuters are able to access adequate compensation for the distress that is caused daily by under performing rail operators.
