Petition Clearly state, at point of use, if NHS service is provided by the private sector

The government is not being transparent regarding the number of NHS services being provided by the private sector.

If a private company uses the NHS logo and provides an inadequate service, the reputation of the NHS is harmed.

I have worked in the NHS for 20 years. After the introduction of marketisation within the NHS, a huge amount of services have been contracted out. This trend is increasing.
The cheapest provider is not always the best for improving services. Private companies withing to gain NHS contracts should have to provide EVIDENCE that they can deliver. They should be held to account when they fail. A halt on further NHS contracts to those companies would be a good idea.
