Rejected petition To avoid abuse of the NHS all visitors to the UK must have medical insurance

Health tourism is a major problem for the NHS which costs over £400m a year. Many NHS staff believe that the actual cost is much higher. This would be simply resolved if it were compulsory for all visitors to the UK to demonstrate that they have adequate health insurance before being granted entry.
