More details
they fall into the water, they are reported missing, the police spend so much of their resources searching for them, whilst in Bristol recently staying in a hotel near the harbour, I was outside the hotel 4 am getting some air, and was shocked at the number of young ones walking around, not knowing what they were doing this went on till after 7am and the fear I had was knowing most of them was heading to temple meads to their destinations, knowing they would be walking beside the harbour,

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. At the moment, local councils are responsible for town and city centres.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask Parliament to change the law, to require councils to meet specific minimum safety standards for urban areas with rivers, canals and harbours.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
