When police are in pursuit of a fleeing vehicle where driver blatantly refuses to stop and is endangering other road users by manner of driving (ie- driving against traffic on dual carriageway/motorway) the police both pursuing and those waitng ahead should have the power to end such pursuits swiftly by way of nudging the rear bumper of bandit vehicle so as to put it into a spin thus ending pursuit and also to use net stingers which not only pierces tyres but wraps a fishing style net around axles bringing the vehicle to a quick stop
