Rejected petition The Speaker of the House of Commons should resign
The Speaker of the House of Commons is elected. With this, they forfeit their right to vote and are to remain politically impartial.
More details
In order to protect democracy and the traditions of the House of Commons being abused by this and future Speakers.
Stop the Speaker of the House of Commons abusing his position and providing personal belief upon political matters for debate.
The Speaker is not only changing tradition dress in the House of Commons but now has passed his personal view in respect of President Trump addressing the both Houses by refusing to support this. The Speaker should be made to resign.
