Rejected petition Reduce gender inequality in the work place.
In the workplace women are not treated as equals. Women have the same skills as men and in some cases are better for the job. However they are not given the job because of their gender. This is a problem because women will be more likely to not enjoy their job and they will get paid less.
More details
On average women are paid 30% less than men annually. Overall in a woman's lifetime they are paid £300,000 less than men.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
It's clear that you're concerned about the gender pay gap, but not clear what action you would like to see. The Government recently announced new measures to address the gender pay gap:

If you would like the Government or Parliament to take different or additional action, you could start a petition calling for that.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
