With the advent of technology and understanding of genes etc. while also becoming a more liberal and accepting society. I believe that now is the time to review the marriage act.

Therefore this petition instructs the government to discuss altering of the Marriage Act so that close relatives, cousins e.g. The son of one brother marrying his father's brother sister and also potentially brother and sister etc. can get married.

Since we now have a better scientific understanding of medicine and DNA [Genes/Genetic Material passed from one parent to their offspring]
