Petition Give early years teachers (with EYTS) the same rights for pay as those with QTS.
EYTs have to pass the same skills test and interviews to qualify onto the course, and meet and pass against the same amount of standards and assessments as those with QTS. Therefore rights for starting pay should be the same, and the professionalism of the early years should be further recognised.

Get into teaching (https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/funding-and-salary/teacher-salaries) states 'As a newly qualified teacher you’ll begin on a salary of at least £22,467, or £28,098 in inner London. As you rise up the pay ranges, you could earn as much as £115,582 as a head...' However on the same web page it states an unqualified teacher can receive a minimum of £16,461. Early Years Teachers are currently viewed as 'unqualified' despite the vigorous post graduate year training.
