It is felt that there is a lack of awareness and support for children who are caught up in contact and custody disputes. There is a lack of guidance and support to help children have a healthy ongoing relationship with both parents and in doing so maintain their psychological health.

I am raising awareness of the vulnerability of children caught in high conflict contact and custody disputes and their need to access specialist assessment and, where appropriate, intervention, to ensure their improved opportunities for ongoing relationships with both parents, and their long term psychological health. In doing this there is a need for policy/legislation/guidance for children's services, legal services and parents to raise a concern and have access to the support to resolve it.
