The laws governing planning permission on conservatories, extensions & dormers', date back to 1948, and urgently need updating, reflecting modern requirements.

In addition to this, more power needs to be given to the Planning Inspectorate. Their current role is purely an advisory one, and more control should be awarded in order for them to 'overturn' decisions made by local councils.
