Rejected petition Company pensions can be drawn after 55 without having to leave the company.
I work for BT, and am over 55, but in order to start drawing my company pension I have to retire from the company, this is a recent rule change as previously employees have been able to take their pension and continue to work for the company in the same way as those in a private pension scheme

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
This decision is the responsibility of the pension provider. You could try contacting them with your concerns.
You could start a new petition calling on Parliament to pass a law requiring all companies to allow employees to access their company pensions from the age of 55, even if they are still working.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
